Privacy policy

Chive is operated by Piscis Labs, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Chive”, “we”). Chive matches content creators with local restaurants for sponsored posts. This policy explains what we collect when you apply, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• What you tell us. Your name, email address, the borough you are based in, and your Instagram or TikTok username. If you choose to give them: your phone number, ZIP code, the boroughs you will travel to, the kinds of content you make, food preferences, and the kind of sponsorship you are open to.
• Public information about your accounts. We look up publicly available information about the social media accounts you give us, such as follower counts, recent posts, and how many views and likes they received.
• How you found us. If the link you followed carried a referral code or campaign tags, we store them with your application.
• Technical information. When you send the form, your IP address and browser information are used to check that you are a person and to stop automated abuse. We keep a description of your browser with your application. We do not keep your IP address.

We do not ask for your social media passwords, and this site does not use advertising trackers.

How we use it

• To review your application.
• To match you with restaurants and send you sponsorship briefs.
• To contact you about your application and sponsorships.
• To understand which of our outreach is working.

Who we share it with

• Restaurants. When we propose you for a sponsorship, we share your name, your account usernames, and public information about your accounts with that restaurant.
• Service providers. Companies that host this site and our database, send our email, and protect the application form from automated abuse. The check that you are a person is provided by Cloudflare, which receives your IP address and browser information when you send the form. Service providers may process your information only to provide those services to us.

We do not sell your information.

How long we keep it

We keep your application for as long as you may be matched with restaurants, or until you ask us to delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it. Email [email protected] from the address you applied with. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time.

Age

Chive is for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
